A couple of weekends ago, we hosted a neighborhood barbecue at our house to spread the word about J's candidacy for City Council. Our good friends, the Triggers, made the journey to help out and to hang out! On Saturday morning we took the kids down to the "duck pond" (as 2-year-old John Reid called it) to feed the ducks. The Cibolo Creek runs right past our neighborhood and is full with water, ducks and geese, and the weather was perfect for the outing. Then, we headed home to prepare for the party. We had a decent showing and truly enjoyed getting to meet some new neighbors and make new friends.
