What's in a name?
We had pictures taken of Trip when he was just shy of 2 weeks old. The photographer, West Vita, posted the picture above to his blog (www.westvitaphotography.blogspot.com) and reading his post brought me to the realization that our entire family has unique/complicated name spellings! Is it Jay or J? Rachel or Rachael? Tripp or Trip? Cooper or Kuper? Oh well ... I guess J and I turned out okay, so hopefully choosing to spell Trip with just one "P" won't hurt him in the long run!
FYI - I will post the link to the entire album of pictures once it is available. Also, if you read West's post, the "baby minus diaper" mishap was Trip peeing all over J and hitting some of West's camera equipment in the process! Thank you West Vita for your patience, creativity and sense of humor!

Trip - Week 2
Trip has had a very exciting first two weeks of life. Below I have included just a sampling of the photos we have taken. Since his last doctor's appointment one week ago where he weighed in at 6 lbs. 11 oz., he has gained more than a pound and is now 7 lbs. 13 oz ... well on his way to the 8 lb. mark! He is starting to get adorable chubby cheeks and new rolls are popping up all over his body daily. We are continually amazed at our baby boy, and are so thankful for the blessing he is in our lives.

My Birthday Boy!
Today I turn 26 and the best present I could ever have asked for is my baby boy! The Lord has blessed J and I beyond belief!
I love how he has his hands cupped around his face in this picture. If you can't tell from this picture, he is drowning in all of the 0-3 month clothes. He is such a tiny little guy!
Here is a picture of all of my boys ... I love Jack peering over J's shoulder at Trip. We still haven't determined if he is trying to be protective, or if he is just curious.3/11/09
